    Jane Billings is pissed. She is living a comfortable life in suburban Texas. She won the Miss Oklahoma pageant in 1964 when she was 18, bright eyed and bushy tailed with big dreams of becoming America’s sweetheart or a star or perhaps even both! She went to the Miss America pageant that year, and for reasons unknown, she didn’t even place in the top 10. So she got married quickly thereafter. And had babies quickly thereafter. And moved into a cookie cutter ranch house quickly thereafter. Long story short, she spent 50 years caring for her husband and her children and her children’s children, which fulfilled her in a certain way. But suddenly it hits her: what would it have been like if it was all different, if she had taken some time and done something for herself - Anything!?

    PLAIN JANE is an episodic comedy that explores the journey of a post-retirement-aged woman finding herself and reclaiming her power in a young man's world. This project is currently in development.
